Build A Miracle is helping our neighbors in Tijuana Mexico break the cycle of poverty by building homes for impoverished families and providing education and empowerment through the opportunities available at our community centers.  They develop a whole new life perspective and most important of all, they have hope! It takes only $16,000 to build a 540 square foot home with plumbing, electricity, and insulation. Even though a home like this may not seem like much, it is life changing compared to the one room shacks that the families had previously lived in. 

The cool thing about BAM is that it doesn’t just build houses, it builds futures. Recipients of BAM homes must put in 500 hours working on others' homes before they work on their own, and must commit to getting their children through high school (something rarely accomplished by many families before BAM came to El Florido due to cost and lack of support systems). The parents have the opportunity for continuing education at the BAM community centers and the opportunity for micro-loans to help start their own businesses. BAM also has donors who sponsor college & highschool scholarships for any student who wants to continue their education, leaving each BAM house recipient with a brighter future ahead.

16 students of our Dual Immersion class are trying to raise $16,000 (with a goal of $1,000 each) to sponsor a family and help build them a new home. Once we reach this goal, we will be able to take a couple of day trips down to Mexico to meet our family, help build their house, and lastly, welcome them into their new home! Please donate to help us build a family a new home and transform their lives for the better. And as for anyone who donates, we will be sure to send pictures of our family that we sponsor and their new home!

All of the money that we raise will go directly to the cost of building a home for our sponsored family, not one penny is wasted.
