The Mountain State Bar Association named this fund for a much respected Raleigh County attorney, remembered for his courageous leadership in the black community and for the quality of legal representation he gave every client. Income will be used for need based scholarships to aid minority West Virginians who attend law school and plan to practice in this state. The association continues to build this fund while making an annual scholarship award from other contributions.
