Build A Brighter Tomorrow
The lengthy school shutdowns during the pandemic have caused challenged students to fall even further behind in all of their studies. We are witnessing this first-hand as we work in local after-school programs. A large percentage of elementary students cannot read simple sentences. Many students come from homes where English is not spoken, and economic conditions force parents to work long hours to meet basic necessities.
We see the frustration and lost hope in hundreds of faces each week as we provide hands-on programs with our Ambassador Animals in science and cultural studies. The children love the programs and are learning through animal interactions and hands-on projects we provide each week. Sadly, the programs are only eight weeks long, and we don’t have sufficient staff or resources to provide the intense support the children need.
We must reach these children before they fall further behind in their studies. With your support, we can provide additional literacy-focused programs, expand scholarship programs to the museum, and offer summer programs to help students rebuild confidence as they improve their reading and other basic skills through fun and exciting hands-on programs with our Ambassador Animals. Please help us bring hope and opportunity to the children left behind. With your support, we can restore a child's hope for a future full of promise and possibilities.
