Break the Cycle Run/Walk 2025

Welcomed is a faith-fueled non-profit organization with a mission to surround vulnerable children and the families who support them with caring communities.

We are excited to share with you about an upcoming event. The Break the Cycle Run/Walk is a mission-focused, experiential run to end the cycle of foster care. 

Foster care is notorious for its unrelenting and never-ending cycle. Kids face family breakdown, placement in an unfamiliar home, disruption, and too often, disruption again. Sadly, many children age-out of foster care without a permanent or lasting sense of family. Most people are unaware of this vicious reality. That's why we've created a race that tells the story. 

Each completed lap is a single cycle of the race. In each cycle you complete, you will encounter ‘Disruption Zones’. We call these Disruption Zones because they illustrate and represent the many disruptions children in foster care face.
