Branham Speech and Debate Donations

Hey, Branham Debate Family!

This is Dhruv R., the Treasurer of the club, and thank you so much for checking out our form. 

Speech and Debate aids students in developing skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which are important tools for all career paths and are essential for social change and innovation in the future. However, the tournament alone for some events can cost up to $130 for each competitor, excluding potential transportation and residence fees. We believe finances should not make it harder for students to receive a complete education, so we hope to minimize speech and debate's paywall with scholarships that cover tournament and transportation fees for our competitors.

Our team was founded in 2017, and since then we have grown to over 20 team members. In the past, students from our team have won 1st place at Georgiana Hays, 1st place at College Prep, 3rd Place at John Lewis, 4th place at the Coast Forensic League Super Debate, been Semifinalists at Ryan Mills, attended Nationals, and more. We hope that with your support, we will be able to support our students to advance even further in public speaking and competitions.

We are currently working to raise funds for our new competitors to enter tournaments. Later this year, our team members hope to attend the Yale Invitational, USA Forensics Olympiad, Duke Invitational, Stanford Invitational, and Nationals. Your donations will contribute to tournaments, transportation costs, membership and subscription fees, and more. We would really appreciate your support!
