Give a box of hope
Will you care for the poor and isolated elderly in Ukraine and Armenia this Easter?
Armenia, like other countries, is in lockdown. Factories and shops are closed, and police and soldiers are on the streets to ensure that people stay at home.
But, even in these tough circumstances, our ministry there is continuing and growing. God is opening new doors for sharing His hope and love with those who desperately need it.
‘Right now, we are witnessing a huge hunger for God’s Word and growing demand for Derek’s teaching on prayer and fasting, on spiritual warfare and salvation,” - says Vazgen, our DPM Armenia director. “Our team is working very hard to meet these needs.”
“Please pray for us”, - he says, “as we prepare and send out daily messages from Derek Prince’s teaching to thousands of Christians in Armenia through our DPM Armenia app.”
Pray also for DPM Armenia team who are volunteering to take meals to the isolated elderly in Yerevan. They are not just delivering food. They are sharing the good news of Jesus by about Him to every elderly person they visit and giving them a free copy of The Exchange at the Cross.
Our DPM team in Ukraine is involved in a similar ministry. In partnership with local churches in Eastern Ukraine, they are reaching out to older people who are struggling financially. They are giving out food boxes and are including a copy of a life-giving book by Derek Prince in each box.
The good news is they have distributed over 2.653 boxes this way. They are putting valuable Bible teaching about salvation, hope and grace into the hands of the elderly and are praying for them.
But they want to do more. They want to continue to provide free food and pastoral care for the elderly who are struggling to survive in isolation and poverty.
Will you join forces with Vazgen and Vlad in taking food and messages of God’s love and hope to the elderly this Easter?
Thank you for partnering with us to offer spiritual encouragement to those who desperately need to experience God’s loving care.
Let me encourage you with a few words from Derek’s book What Jesus Would Do. Having cited Proverbs 19:17: ‘He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given’. Derek adds: “When you give to the poor you’re lending to the Lord. And the Lord always pays back!"
May you experience God’s abundant provision for you and His protection over you this Easter!
