The Bonnie Fund

Bonnie joined MMFS during the late spring of 2024, and almost immediately had an impact on everyone. Despite her physical limitations, she quickly assumed the role of Mayor of the sanctuary, and thrived making sure she was involved in everything that happened there. She absolutely loved people, happily greeted every visitor, and followed every tour group. 

Later in Bonnie's life, her mobility declined to a point where she required a wheelchair to get around, in addition to other complications. None of this diminished her determination to continue her job as Mayor, inspiring everyone that knew her. 

It's in this spirit that we've established the Bonnie Fund, for insuring the sanctuary is prepared for residents with "extra special" needs like Bonnie had. Specialized equipment and medications are quite expensive, as well as the extra level of veterinary care required for those "extra special" souls, and the Bonnie Fund is intended to help us be more prepared for their arrival and continued comfort.

All funds donated to The Bonnie Fund will go directly to the veterinary bills, special feed, medications, and equipment for residents that require an extraordinary level of care.
