Portland Taiko blends the tradition of Japanese taiko drumming with a sense of Asian American identity, creativity, and empowerment. The group has headlined at arts festivals and concert halls, released three CDs, and has performed at hundreds of community events and school assemblies.

Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Portland Taiko converted its classes online and has found unique ways to inspire audiences, build community, and educate about its heritage and culture. 

Now we are back in-person for our classes, workshops, and some performances. But with the drastic reduction of performances, school programs, and the cancellation of our annual spring fundraiser, Portland Taiko needs your support more than ever! Thank you again for your consideration!
