Blockhead Boosters directly supports the La Cañada Engineering Club (LCEC) at La Cañada High School in La Cañada, CA. LCEC operates FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge Teams, FIRST Robotics Challenge Team 2429, and various Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) based teams based in the Greater Los Angeles Region of California. Known as the Blockheads, LCEC’s goal is to enrich and raise awareness of STEM within the greater Los Angeles community.

It is time for the 2022-2023 La Cañada Engineering Club season!
Every year, as we build robots, we need to buy plenty of hardware, from motors and wheels that make our robot move to aluminum (which we need a surprising amount of to mill into a robot) to the nuts and bolts that keep the robot from falling apart. We often have to replace motors, axles, and wheels during tests as well. The FTC budget for parts and competition is about $1500 for each team before travel, and for FRC, it is about $15000 before travel and competition fees.
If you can donate $25, $50, (or more!), we would be very grateful as it would expedite our robot building process allowing us to build, program, and test many more times than otherwise. Blockhead Boosters is committed to full transparency and will release an annual report detailing how funds were used.
