An estimated 18 million of Yemenis are food insecure, 10 million are on the brink of famine, starvation, and over 2 million children are malnourished. Blessed Bakery needs your help to provide food baskets to starving families in Yemen.
Urgent Appeal: Save Families from Starvation!
The Blessed month of Ramadan is a mercy from our Lord to cleanse our souls and come together as brothers and sisters. During the month of Ramadan families in Yemen fast by day and starve by night, even though Ramadan is over our project is still reaching out to many families in dire need of sustenance. With the help of your donations we can reach out to families that have lost everything in this conflict. Please help by making a simple donation of $65 today, which will provide a family with a food basket to last them an entire whole month. Ramadan is a month of joyful and spiritual occasion, but for the people of Yemen the famine left no room for joy. Let’s make a change together and help support Blessed Bakery to ensure our brothers and sisters in humanity around the world don’t starve to death.

The Problem
An estimated 18 million of Yemenis are food insecure, 10 million are on the brink of famine, starvation, and over 2 million children are malnourished. According to the U.N., on average every 10 minutes a child dies in Yemen of preventable causes, or malnutrition, and more than 400,000 children are starving. Another 1.5 million are acutely malnourished and need aid to survive.
“There is now a clear and present danger of an imminent and great, big famine engulfing Yemen”. Mark Lowcock, the undersecretary for humanitarian affairs, told the Security Council on Oct 23, 2018.
To give you an idea of the condition of Yemen:
- 75% of the population, 22 million people, need some form of humanitarian assistance.
- 60% of the population, 18 million, are food insecure.
- 8.4 million people do not know how they will obtain their next meal.
- 55% of the population, 16 million people, do not have regular access to safe water.
- 50% of all children are stunted and the number of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition has increased 90% in the last three years.
The Solution:
Blessed Bakery needs your support to provide these unfortunate families with daily bread and a food basket. Each food basket will feed an ENTIRE FAMILY for a WHOLE MONTH . Together we can help feed millions of people at the brink of starvation to death!

Your monetary donation can provide life-changing meals for hungry children and their families. 100% of your donation will go to feeding desperate starving families in Yemen.
How money will be spent:
Our free public bakery will provide families with daily bread and a food basket to last them for an entire whole month.
Each food basket contains:
- 25 kg sack of flour
- 10 kg sack of sugar
- 5 kg sack of salt
- 10 kg sack of rice
- 24-Pack of canned beans
- 10-packs of Pasta
- 6 cans of tuna
- 1 case of dates
- 4-liter Cooking Oil
What do we need?

Who we are?
Blessed Bakery Project is an idea established by a small group on the principle of providing humanitarian aid during a crisis around the world. Our mission is to open free public bakeries around the world for people in dire need of sustenance. The first Blessed Bakery was opened in Taiz, Yemen on January 8, 2019. Currently we are producing 6,000 loaves of bread a day and serving 600 families daily.
Monitoring the frightening starvation that has overwhelmed most of Yemen, Merciful Souls, Inc. searched out to address the issue by making solid foundations families could visit day by day, amid a crisis.
The charity is run by an organization based in California called Merciful Souls, which has been doing humanitarian work in Yemen since January 2019. As a nonprofit organization we're giving nourishment to the destitute people of Yemen at Blessed Bakery.
