Fund a Future. One bold, brilliant girl at a time.
Black women hold 2.3% of technical and high-tech roles in the United States (EEOC, 2024). That leaves a generation of brilliant Black girls out of the rooms where the future gets built. Black Girls Code is changing that, one bold, brilliant girl at a time.
Since 2011, BGC has reached more than 40,000 learners through Workshops, Summer Camp, and a College and Careers Community. Behind that number are girls who walked in curious about their first line of code and walked out building apps, leading teams, and recognizing the technologist they already were.
Our free Code Along series brings that same spark to 161,000 subscribers on YouTube, which means a girl anywhere with a screen and a question can sit down and build right alongside us, no permission slip required.
Every gift you make turns those numbers into more girls, more rooms, more futures.
Give once. Or give every month.
Give once, and you open a door for a girl who is ready to walk through it. Become a monthly sustainer, and you keep that door open all year long.
Monthly giving continues the way our programs do, week after week and build after build. Whatever you can give each month adds up to a full year of access, mentorship, and momentum for a girl learning to rewrite the code for the future.
She is already imagining the app, the company, the breakthrough the world has not seen yet, and your gift is the room she gets to build it in, the mentor who sees her, and the community where she can see herself, be herself, and build as herself. And the door stays open behind her for the next girl who is ready.
