Urgent Support for Our Students

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev students have been deeply affected by the Hamas attack, and many are suffering and in great need.

  • As of October 30, ten students have been killed, two are missing, and six have been injured.
  • Over a thousand BGU students are among the 350,000 reservists that have been mobilised
  • Prior to the attack, around 400 of our students lived within seven kilometres (just a little over four miles) of the Gaza border.

These BGU students are among those Israelis paying a high price for the Hamas attack, and the depth of their loss, pain, trauma, and worry is unimaginable.

Our students are the University.

Ben-Gurion University is committed to doing everything possible to help them get through this crisis. To this end, we have established the Student Emergency Assistance Fund

Those students most directly affected by the attack represent over 35% of BGU's student population. They have a wide variety of needs now.

Housing, Transportation, Mental Health Care, Loss of Income,  Laptops, Connectivity, and Other Belongings

These are just a few of the many ways in which grants from the Student Emergency Assistance Fund will help students carry on.

Please help us meet this important need.
