Fayetteville Public Library Beyond Words Capital Campaign

In the years since its opening, Blair Library has been a leader in facilitating the new ways in which people use their public library. Thanks to the generous support from our community and people like you, our community has enjoyed a facility that goes well beyond a repository for books.

The Beyond Words campaign is an opportunity to continue our goal of providing free and public access to knowledge and opportunities for our community even as our region expands. The citizens of Fayetteville generously voted for a temporary millage increase in 2016 that has generated $26.9 million towards the project, leaving us $23 million left to privately raise. Though the $23 million fundraising goal is a challenge, it is a goal which our community has told us – through our feasibility study – is attainable.

Your support of the capital campaign and FPL expansion shows our community that you are dedicated to providing equitable access to knowledge, opportunities, and experiences. The opening of the expansion in January has introduced a whole new world of possibilities through spaces like the Center for Innovation, Art & Movement Room, Event Center, and Teaching Kitchen. Now, more than ever, you can do so much more than borrow from your public library--you can create, experience, and develop skills that will help you achieve your goals. Stop by your library today to browse and check out materials, utilize curbside pickup, access computers and Wi-Fi, and to find out more about all of our virtual programs.
