Bringing Syriac Into the Digital Age

Since 2017, BET KANU has been creating the modern resources our language needs to thrive: animated songs and stories, educational videos, mobile apps, games, books, digital publications, and other learning tools in both Surit and Surayt.

Our goal is simple: give today's generation the opportunity to experience Syriac through the same kinds of engaging media and technology they use every day.

From a child singing along with an animated Syriac song, to a student learning new vocabulary through an app, to a family using BET KANU Reader to hear native-speaker audio while reading a publication, every resource helps create another opportunity for the language to be heard, learned, and passed on.
