Across Indonesia, hunger is still a daily reality. Millions of people do not meet their basic dietary needs, and an estimated 43.5% of Indonesians cannot afford a healthy diet.

Bali looks better on paper, ranking among the more food‑secure provinces nationally. But statistics do not show the whole picture. Waste workers, informal labourers, and many families still live with irregular meals and limited access to nutritious food.

Ragam’s kitchen responds to that local reality. We cook 400–600 meals each day, alleviating the burden of cost and time for child care centres, informal schools, medical centres, disability care centres, and communities around Bali. This ensures that they receive a nutritious home‑cooked meal, while freeing up their funds to focus on education, health care, and basic household expenses.

Our motto is that everything starts with food. A healthy meal and diet support a healthy mind. It is hard to educate a child who is hungry, or to initiate secondary changes within a community when people are still worrying about their most basic need: a daily meal.

Each month, a contribution of:
Rp50.000 / US$3 / €2.5 - roughly the cost of one coffee - helps provide 10 meals. When many people choose to give that amount regularly, it becomes a steady community effort that keeps daily meals moving to the children and communities we support across Bali.
