Iris Theatre is an award-winning theatre company and charity - we’re passionately devoted to creating transformational opportunities for the next generation of theatre practitioners and artists, but we need your help, now, to survive!
Alongside our annual summer season of shows at St Paul’s Church Covent Garden, this year would have seen us launch three brand new development and training schemes targeted at a range of artists at different stages in their careers - some of them may be getting into theatre for the very first time, others taking the next steps in their professional development. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we have had to take the difficult decision to postpone our summer season until 2021 and reimagine our training and development plans for early-career artists for the forseeable future.
Coronavirus Information
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on Iris Theatre. We make all of our income in just 10 weeks each summer, and without that income this year we face a sustained, urgent hardship that could see the company close. We need your help more than ever, so we can continue to support young artists and break-through talent in their careers, and delight thousands of people with our shows each summer. Your support at this time would be vital to our work. It will help ensure our surival and enable us to deliver our development projects for young artists and break-out talent. Our ambition is for Iris Theatre to become a genuine hub for emerging artists, regardless of background, and by supporting us, you’ll play a fundamental part in helping us achieve our aims.
Why should I set up a regular donation?
Regular monthly donations allow us to plan and budget ahead, and as we are currently fighting through this crisis month-to-month, a regular donation really is the best way to support us through our current hardship. It’s also really simple; you can choose how much you would like to donate each month, and you can stop your donation whenever you want. We are a small charity, with low running costs, meaning every pound makes such a difference towards our surivial.
