For years, Baw Baw has been a safe haven for Sri Lanka's most vulnerable animals. Today, 75 permanently disabled dogs call our sanctuary home. Many require daily medications, ongoing wound care, mobility assistance, and frequent veterinary treatment. Caring for them isn't a temporary rescue it's a lifelong commitment.

Our current main building has served us well, but it was never designed to function as a veterinary hospital. As our rescue efforts continue to grow, so do the medical needs of the animals depending on us. That's why we're transforming our existing sanctuary building into the Baw Baw Animal Hospital while constructing a new purpose-built extension that will create a fully integrated veterinary clinic. Together, the existing building and new expansion will become a modern medical facility designed specifically to save animal lives.
