No child in La Guaira should have to drop out of school

In Venezuela, many families cannot afford the cost of their children’s education. Construyo Educando was created so that no boy or girl has to leave school because of this.

Fundación CHAMOS and Bastión are joining forces to create a Scholarship Fund that will cover tuition and monthly fees for up to 100 students over two school years, at schools in the AVEC network.

Education also means support

In the first year, the project includes Vuelta al Colegio con CHAMOS (Back to School with CHAMOS), which offers psychosocial and educational support through digital content, radio and in-person workshops.

In total, Construyo Educando will directly reach more than 250 people: 100 scholarship students and more than 150 teachers taking part in the workshops.

A partnership with a long-term vision

As part of its second phase of response in Venezuela, Bastión supports this project through its smart philanthropy approach. That means careful selection, close monitoring of implementation and measurement of results.

Because rebuilding also means protecting future opportunities.
