Ban Ki-moon Foundation

As the world approaches the halfway mark in the timeline toward expiration of the current Sustainable Development Goals in 2030, we seek to expand our efforts in the United States, Americas and beyond toward a world based on dignity, respect and equity for all.

Donations to the Ban Ki-moon Foundation will go towards advancing the following three strategies:

Leadership Development. We seek to create a larger and more diverse ‘bench’ of leaders and movements ready to advance the SDGs by 2030 and also design, negotiate, and implement future efforts post2030. Our goal is to train 1,000 emerging changemakers over three years, with a focus on women, youth, and others from historically exlcluded communities.

Education and Advocacy. We seek to significantly increase financial and political commitments toward the implementation of SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement on key issues at the intersection of gender, racial and economic justice to improve outcomes for those most impacted by the effects of climate change and inequity worldwide

Advancing SDG Solutions.  We catalyze, develop and scale real-life examples of grassroots and transnational leadership for the SDGs and Paris Agreement through financial resources and technical assistance, creating platforms for learning and collaboration between and among established and emerging leaders, and strengthening cross-sector partnerships.
