Horses Are in Our Hands - In Our Hands Action Fund is a federally registered 501(c)(4) advocacy organization dedicated to permanently ending horse slaughter in the United States, and the shipment of all equines to foreign countries for slaughter!

Every 20 minutes, an American horse is shipped into the slaughter pipeline. These horses are transported long distances to foreign facilities where they are slaughtered for human consumption—a practice that raises serious concerns regarding animal welfare, public health, and ethical responsibility.

Ending horse slaughter requires strong federal leadership and effective advocacy. Our organization works directly in Washington, D.C., with experienced legislative professionals to educate lawmakers, build bipartisan support, and advance meaningful policy solutions.

Central to this effort is the SAFE Act (Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act), federal legislation that would permanently prohibit the export of American horses for slaughter and protect them from this inhumane industry.
