BabyRead Donation Center

BabyRead is a free, non-profit, volunteer-run early literacy outreach program in Oconee County, South Carolina. Our focus is early literacy support for babies/toddlers from birth to the start of kindergarten.  We encourage families to read and talk to their children every day.  We provide tips on reading, talking, singing, bonding, and engaging in meaningful play. We do this primarily by having our background-checked volunteer readers meet one on one with caretakers and their children twice a month at a local library or comparable space. 

Because of your generous donations, each child gets a free book at every in-person session and older siblings also get an age-appropriate magazine or book.  Your donations also provide incentive gift cards to families who show commitment to the Family Reading Program, including those families that read at least 15 times a month.
