AYUDA 2023 Campo Amigo Program

Hello Family + Friends,

I am excited to share that I will be volunteering for two weeks this summer with AYUDA, an organization that helps advance health and access to health care for youth in the Dominican Republic (DR). AYUDA uses an innovative peer-leadership model through which international volunteers serve as catalysts to empower local youth by planning and implementing community education initiatives, day-long outreach projects, and local capacity-building programs in partnership with AYUDA's in-country partner organization, Aprendiendo a Vivir ("learning to live"). 

I will be traveling to the DR on June 24, but my work journey begins today. Please consider supporting my work this summer and the amazing work AYUDA does by making a contribution. My personal fundraising goal to support AYUDA and my summer volunteer experience is $7,500. 

By involving volunteers in multiple elements of the program, AYUDA provides hands-on experiences that help volunteers like me serve as agents of social change, understand cultural contexts, and commit to local sustainability.
