Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal

Help Nigel Mansell build a life-changing legacy for young people at Avon Tyrrell

Growing up today isn’t easy. Confidence is fragile, opportunities are uneven, and too many young people quietly believe, “I can’t.”

At Avon Tyrrell, over 20,000 young people each year arrive with doubt - and leave saying, “I did.” Through outdoor challenges and shared experiences, they build resilience, courage, and self-belief that lasts far beyond their visit.

But too often, that journey is cut short.

When severe weather makes activities unsafe, sessions have to stop. For many young people who only visit once, that lost moment of growth is an opportunity that never comes back.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

We are raising £4 million to build a new indoor learning, adventure, and sports facility - so every young person can continue their experience, whatever the weather. This space will include climbing, high ropes, archery, a full-size sports court, and dedicated areas for learning and reflection - ensuring no experience is left unfinished.

Over the next five years, 125,000 young people will benefit.

Nigel Mansell CBE, President of UK Youth, has already committed to raise £1 million.

Now he’s asking you to join him.

“I’ve lived a life of adventure. Giving young people the chance to try new things has always mattered most to me and my family. This is exactly what Avon Tyrrell provides - and this new facility will ensure even more young people can discover what they’re capable of, safely and with confidence. We’re proud to support this as our legacy to adventure - but we can’t do it alone.”

We still need to raise £3 million.

£32 could give a young person a life-changing adventure
£100 could fund a full day of activities
£1,000 could help equip this vital new space

Give today. Help build a legacy of confidence, courage, and possibility for young people.
