Aurora at UGA
Give the magic of camp to children with cancer and their siblings. Any amount, no matter how much, helps to further our mission of bringing childhood back to children affected by cancer.
Aurora Day Camp is Georgia’s only full summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 3 1⁄2 –16 who are in active or follow-up treatment for cancer, all free of charge. Aurora gives families normalcy, hope, relief and a unique opportunity for patients and siblings to be together. Camp is not about cancer, simply fun and children being children.
Aurora at UGA serves to help make it possible to send these children to camp free of charge. We further touch the lives of families with children battling cancer by packing goody bags to hang out in the hospitals, organizing year-round "Fun Days" for the kids, and more.
It costs $6,000 to send one child to camp for the entire summer. Each in-hospital goody bag costs $10 to prepare. Every dollar counts, and each donation helps us impact hundreds of families impacted by pediatric cancer.
