Goal
We are the Brown Family. My families path to team ATX has been a bit different than most. The team was created for persons with spinal cord and lower extremity injuries. Our son with severe double joints "arthrogryposis" throughout his body that qualifies him to participate but also he has a extra chromosome "downs syndrome" which causes a slow down in learning development.
With that said ATX accepts children for who they are and gave him a purpose that he could contribute to the team and become a very important contributor in our community. He has learned so much about self confidence and his worth since joining ATX and he loves and respects his team members and ATX family so much!
Thank you for your support! ATX Abilities, the Adaptive Sports & Inclusion Division of ME Arts a 501 c 3 organization based in Austin TX, has an ambitious target of $60,000 to be raised, I am trying to do my part in raising $8000.00 dollars . Your donations will further support our team mission of keeping our athletes and members health conscious, active, and successful by focusing on the strengths of their abilities and not disabilities. We will also continue to do our part to help increase awareness in the community and to call for continued support of individuals with disabilities.
Thank you for your generosity and for investing in our athletes! U KNOW!

Hello, my name is coach Lee Brown or Coach Lee called by the kids and proud husband and father of Brown family.
I am also the director of the program.
I have been playing basketball competitively since I was six years old and was blessed with the opportunity to play at a high level through high school and gaining offers from several higher learning institutions but was in a vehicle incident and unfortunately lost a lower limb due to trauma before playing collegiate ball. Adapted sports was introduced to me while still in recovery and wheelchair Basketball and track peaked my interest immediately. I tried them out and had success in both right away making multiple international teams.
Obviously wheelchair basketball was my heart so I stuck with it and now have been playing since 1989, 35 years. There was only one thing missing, the town I lived in had no kids playing but everywhere I went I saw kids playing so I vowed when I was old enough and slowing down skill wise this is what I'd do bring youth adapted sports home and give youth a chance at this great second chance I had been given.
That has brought me to this point and now I desperately need your help to continue my mission. I got ATX youth adapted sports going in 2017 and now have 6 kids committed to play D1 college basketball and several members have come and gained confidence to become solid and contributable members of the community. Please help us with contributions to keep our mission alive.
Thanks, Coach Lee Brown
