Goal
From now through the end of November, we’re raising funds in Arthur’s honor to support the Maine Children’s Home in Waterville. Each donation will help bring holiday gifts and joy to children in need - continuing to shine Arthur’s light and carry forward his giving spirit.
--
The Light of Arthur Foundation honors Arthur Curtis Thompson Sr., a man whose huge heart and contagious smile lit up every room for 95 years. Loved in his community, he was always there when someone needed a hand, helping simply because that’s who he was, expecting nothing in return. He devoted over 50 years of service as a Mason and Shriner, living with integrity, compassion, generosity, and a joyful spirit of giving that touched everyone he met.
This Foundation’s purpose is to carry Arthur's light forward through various fundraising initiatives, supporting children in Maine by bringing care, joy, and opportunities for growth - continuing Arthur’s lifelong dedication to helping others simply because it is the right thing to do.
