Goal

Your donation to this Season 10 fundraiser helps us pay our artists.

Our Tour Company works about 40 hours a week. They are working away from home. They rehearse together, they practice on their own, they become an inspirational crew of costumers, prop-makers, van-packers, sound designers, musicians and even help with some administrative duties and that's on top of performing for you. Our artists help teach when we visit schools, and are ambassadors for us, for Shakespeare and for theater.

We live communally. Rooms are donated by loving families. The company cooks together to save money whenever possible. There aren't a lot of personal expenses on the road, but just like you, these adult performers have bills. We strive to pay them enough so that they are not paying out of pocket to be on the tour. It won't make anyone rich, but it should keep them with working cellphones so they can call home and brag about your "backyard" to all their friends and family.

Additionally we need to pay for a fight director this year. Hamlet without fights isn't really Hamlet. We need the fight to be safe for our actors and for the audience. We also use other artists to help design our print material, costumes and our moveable set pieces. Their work and time and expertise all need to be paid.

Consider donating and help us pay our artists - all of them!
