WHO WE ARE

Artistry Youth Dance is a London based youth dance company that supports young people of African and Caribbean heritage. We’re passionate about empowering young people through creative dance development. We are committed to developing the next generation of black dance artists and nurturing a more culturally diverse dance community in the UK.

Your donations support Artistry Youth Dance in continuing to provide high-quality training and performance opportunities for young Black dancers. As a non-profit community organisation, we rely on your donations, in-kind support, and sponsorships to keep the programme accessible and student fees low.

We thank you for your support in helping the next generation of young Black dancers reach their potential, to shine and soar.

WHY OUR WORK IS IMPORTANT

The Arts are a beautifully diverse field, but within the UK’s top 10 ballet and contemporary companies, only 2% of professional artists are of African or Caribbean descent. Artistry Youth Dance, therefore, exists to create a pipeline of versatile dancers, trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and dance forms of the African Diaspora, while positively influencing how our dancers view themselves, their ability, and broadening their horizon of what they believe to be possible.

We want more young dancers of African and Caribbean descent to be uplifted, inspired, and encouraged to pursue their dreams in dance, the Arts, or whatever career path they choose.

OUR IMPACT

Through Artistry Youth Dance, our participants learn and develop their dance and performance techniques. We support our dancers to develop a range of life skills that can be applied to any career they choose to pursue.

Our young people have gone on to train at leading schools, colleges, and universities, including: The Urdang Academy, Guilford School of Acting, London School of Contemporary Dance, the Brit School, Laban, and many more. They have worked on television, in musicals on the West End, and beyond.

By celebrating and advancing the talents and artistry of young black dancers, our goal is to contribute to a more culturally diverse representation of performers in the UK dance industry.

Any donation small or large will be greatly appreciated!

Help us to encourage the next generation of young black dancers to reach their potential, and SHINE!

THANK YOU!

We are a non-profit organisation. All amounts received will be directly used to support the activities of the Artistry Youth Dance.
