Artist INC Topeka is a professional development program for artists that teaches business skills, marketing, and sustainability. Your sponsorship supports business training for local artists – empowering them to price their work, grow their audience, and earn a living doing what they love. Through this program, artists build their network and skills, resulting in collaboration and partnership across sectors and disciplines. This program helps local artists learn how to price their work, grow their audience, and earn a living doing what they love.

Your support offsets costs that otherwise would have to be paid as participation fees by artists. Investing in Artist INC is a direct investment in Topeka’s creative economy and in critical workforce development.

This program features two pre-program workshops, called “What Works Workshops” (one in person and one virtual), and 8 weeks of program sessions. The final night of Artist INC is a night when all of the artists bring their friends and family to watch them present a “WorkShare”– a 5-minute presentation about their artistic practice. It’s an incredible night of celebration and connection.
