Empower Working Artists

Most working artists have experienced financial barriers and limited access to funding opportunities. At Art Tonic, we believe in tearing down these barriers by providing a supportive community and essential free programs to help artists overcome common struggles. We offer professional development through discussion panels, grant-writing workshops, portfolio development, and networking opportunities that connect artists with organizations offering paid work.

In 2025:

• We served 200 artists through professional development workshops.

• 20 artists received grants or fellowships after receiving Art Tonic assistance. 

• We offered 11 free professional development workshops, talks, and events. 

• $38,5000 was paid to Sacramento region artists for Art Tonic projects.

In 2026: 

We are determined to expand our free artist professional development offerings and bring more paid opportunities to artists. Help us continue to fuel creativity and build a truly equitable arts ecosystem.
