The University of Providence Women's Basketball Lady Argos have been chosen to represent the United States of America in the 2022 FISU America Games in Merida, MX

College basketball is just around the corner! The Lady Argos look to build on their historic 21-22 season. Last season the University of Providence Women's Basketball team set a school record in wins with a 25, earned a share of the Frontier Conference Regular Season Championship, and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. Most importantly the program finished #13 in the WBCA Academic Top 25 with a team GPA of 3.62. Including ten Frontier Conference Academic All-Conference recipients and eight 4.0 students.

We intend to continue our tradition of excellence this year. We have added seven new players to the roster to combine with our seven returners. We have built a competitive schedule that includes FIBA international play at the FISU America Games, two NCAA Division I exhibitions, and a competitive non-conference schedule that includes games in Phoenix, AZ, Kirkland, WA, and Honolulu, HI.

We have asked our student-athletes to step up and help contribute to their student-athlete experience by fundraising. We will be raising funds through a Letter Writing Campaign, basketball camps, and this online platform. Our goal is to raise $5,000 via this online platform. Funds raised from this campaign will go directly towards travel logistics, lodging, meals for the athletes while traveling and over holiday breaks when the cafeteria is closed.
