For nearly a decade, Spellerberg Projects by Anything Curatorial, Inc. has brought non-commercial contemporary art to Lockhart, Texas. We connect our rural community to the broader conversation surrounding contemporary art, with a commitment to showing women, minority, and LGBTQ artists.

What We Accomplished This Year

This year, we presented 10 solo exhibitions featuring artists from across the country and two studio shows showcasing local talent. Our studios are home to seven artists who are creating exciting new work within our community. We participated in the San Marcos Studio Tour, Lockhart Open Studios, and Lockhart First Friday.

Your Donation Keeps Our Programming Free and Accessible

Your support directly benefits Lockhart residents who can experience contemporary art for free in our storefront gallery. It also helps emerging artists exhibit without gallery fees or sales pressure and supports students who visit and intern at the gallery. Donations help pay artist fees, cover shipping for traveling exhibitions, fund professional documentation, and compensate performers. Our studio rents cover overhead costs, ensuring that 100% of your donation goes directly to programming.

Why Now?

Lockhart is growing. Artists who have been displaced from Austin are finding a new home in our community. We have expanded our program space and increased the scope of our events and educational offerings. More people are attending than ever before; our First Friday receptions now regularly draw over 100 visitors.

With more programming comes the need for increased coordination, shipping costs, artist travel, and documentation. We have built the necessary infrastructure, and now we need your support to sustain and grow what we have created.
