UPDATE SEPTEMBER 18th

She got out of surgery last Thursday and did well. Prior to surgery, she was walking to go potty. Now she's resting a lot but doing well. During surgery, she did have to have a blood transfusion and they removed the 3rd, 4th and 5th mammaries on the right side and the 4th and 5th in the left side. She is in the healing process now and here are some recent photos to show her progress and the surgery site healing. We have more in-depth photos and updates on our community page if you become a monthly donor for as little as $1 a month. THANK YOU for all you've done for her!

UPDATE ON ANNIE AT 4:20PM SEPT 13

Annie is bit by bit getting better but is still not out of the clear by any means. She is unable to eat right now so the vets placed her on a feeding tube. They also did x-rays and found a bullet lodged in her chest near her ribs. Unbelievable. This poor girl has gone through so much and is so young, we believe she is only 8 months old. Bloodwork is being run every 24 hours to monitor her progress which she is receiving supportive care to get her vital signs regulated. She cannot go under anesthesia to remove the infection until they stabilize her. This is why her treatments will be so incredibly costly. She did manage to let out a small tail wag when she had a visitor today :) Please keep sharing her and donating! Any amount helps!

UPDATE ON ANNIE DONATIONS AT 4:45PMSEPT 12

We reached $500 so Mylah Medical Foundation matched that $500 giving Annie, $1000!! Another gracious donor has stepped up to match donations up to $300 too! Any new donations past the $1000 mark will be matched up to $300 now!

UPDATE ON ANNIE AT 3PM SEPT 12

Annie is not in great shape. She will need weeks of hospitalization and her entire mammary tract may need to be removed. The first 3 days alone of her hospitalization and treatments will cost $4,000. We have upped the matching incentive to $500 in the hopes we can raise the first $1,000 for Annie quickly. All donations are tax-deductible and you receive your receipt immediately upon donating. Thank you for helping save her life!

UPDATE FROM 10AM SEPT 12

Mylah Medical Foundation will match dollar for dollar up to $300 in donations to help save Annie. Annie is a young stray dog who was brought in to Chicago Animal Control last night. We were made aware of her late last night as rescuers were scrambling to help her get out asap as she needs medical attention now. One of our rescue partners, Players for Pits, has agreed to take Annie but they will need help to fund her treatments. We need to raise as much as possible to get her out of animal control immediately and to the vet. Please consider a donation and Mylah Medical Foundation will match up to $300 for Annie.

On behalf of everyone donating and rallying for Annie, we thank you in advance!
