NEWBORN CHILD ABANDONMENT AND INFANTICIDE IN INDONESIA CURRENTLY STANDS AT THE LEVEL OF HUMANITARIAN CATASTROPHE

Anak Kita is a non-profit organization based in Indonesia. Officially registered as Yayasan Puri Anak Semesta. 

We build a systematic approach to bring the rate of newborn child abandonment and infanicide to an absolute minimum. 

To prevent child abandonment
:

•⁠  ⁠We are building “Safe Home” in Bali – a shelter for single expecting mothers in a difficult life situation. 

“Safe home” provides safe place to stay, food, medical care, but more than anything – basic human care, support and acceptance.

To care for those children, that didn’t get a chance to stay with a mother:

•  We are building “Evergreen home” – functional and specifically designed orphanage. “Ever Green” will be able to accommodate up to sixty children comfortably.

•⁠  ⁠We are developing a culture of adoption along with our own adoption agency. We believe that family plays the best role in laying foundation for solid true human values along with healthy psychology for a child.

Apart from building a system that will bring newborn child abandonment to its minimum, Anak Kita Foundation operates as a «Big Umbrella» to other foster system organizations.
