Goal

The American Indian Movement—began in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the summer of 1968. It began taking form when 200 people from the Indian community turned out for a meeting called by a group of Native American community activists led by George Mitchell, Dennis Banks, and Clyde Bellecourt. Frustrated by discrimination and decades of federal Indian policy, they came together to discuss the critical issues restraining them and to take control over their own destiny. Out of that ferment and determination, the American Indian Movement was born. And from there it has kept growing, each chapter is it's own and is responsible for it's own funding

Just in May 2019 alone we helped 29 people get out of homelessness and into housing. Also we helped 10 mentally ill people get into group homes and off the street. This is just some of the work we do all year long. We work for better education of children, getting people food and the list goes on.

Everyone at American Indian Movement Georgia is a volunteer, there are no pay checks for anyone. The reason we can do this is all that work here have regular jobs and give of there free time.

So 100% of all money raised is used for the help of the people we work with. We do not just with Native Americans, but all the people in the community we are in.

Your donation is tax deductible and 100% of the money raised will be used to further the work we do each month with people in the community's we are in.
