American Friends of Nir Oz

In 1955, the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz followed Ben Gurion's dream and created a flourishing and peace-loving community in the desert.

This community was shattered by the terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023 when nearly 1 out of every 4 residents were either murdered or taken hostage and 80% of the kibbutz was destroyed. With numerous friends and family members still held hostage in Gaza, the trauma of October 7th remains a daily reality for the people of Nir Oz.

American Friends of Nir Oz will help rebuild Kibbutz Nir Oz and provide financial support for projects and programs for the Nir Oz community as they reside in their temporary homes in Kiryat Gat.
