Goal

"Ministry to the youth and the children is strategic to BLMF ministry. In our country, “youth” refers to those aged 18-30 year, so the span of ages for our outreach is broad and the Lord is at work! Moreover, the opportunity for Ukrainian Refugee outreach to youth and children presents a greater need for facilities. BLMF’s short term goal is disciple making and a long-term goal is the restoration of the once existed Belarus Lutheran Church. BLMF’s strategy has been raising disciples and increasing the number of the Church members.

One of the effective ways to achieve this goal is via Bible camps. We now have just one Bible camp for youth and children in the summer time. This ministry is heavily dependent on weather conditions.

The Need: Currently, there is just a two-room building standing in the camp ground that is used as a kitchen and one room is used for one family with small children, since the camp children live in a “tent town” in the open air.

The Plan:

We will construct a permanent building for a Bible Camp & Ministry Center. This will serve 25-30 people at a time, so that we could have opportunity for the ministry to the children and youth all the year round.

  • The children in Belarus have vacation 4 times a year connected with the seasons. So, we want to use these opportunities for discipleship.
  • In between the camps the building shall be used as an educational Christian center for the Lutheran Church. We will also develop ways to use this for our Ukrainian refugee ministry. It will be available also to any other confession that would want to rent it.
  • The building will be built as a part of an agricultural tourism system that is now being supported by the state. The infrastructure of the place is excellent. So, the building shall be also used as a hostel for tourists and people who come to have rest on the lake and this will be another opportunity for the Kingdom.
  • In addition, we can use the funds generated from occasional rental use for tourists and other Christian groups to fund ministry and pay for building maintenance and expenses.
