Goal

A Long Way 4 Water is a 3,100-mile human-powered journey across the continent of South America, from Atlantic to Pacific Coast by bicycle and kayak.

The 1st leg of the journey is complete, 900-mile from Georgetown, Guyana to Manaus, Brazil. The 2nd leg began in late May 2024, cycling and kayaking 600-miles across the thickest part of the Amazon Rainforest from Manaus, Brazil to Porto Velho, Brazil.

The final 1,600-mile leg of the journey from Porto Velho, Brazil to Lima, Peru completed in October 2024, taking four-weeks to complete the final stretch.

Why? This journey is more than an adventure; it’s an opportunity to raise funds for a clean water and sanitation project. One in ten people, right now, are without clean water and sanitation and the goal is to raise $10,000 and help 1,000 people gain access to clean water.
