Your donation today will support the work of Al Taj. We envision communities of empowered adults and children who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and characteristics that enable them to create safe spaces for dialogue and advocacy that help break cycles of violence and abuse.  Al Taj’s purpose is to address gaps in child protection by offering curriculum training in emotional and physical intelligence. This curriculum training will be offered to educational communities and other community-based organizations.

Through our curriculum training, Al Taj equips educators, community leaders, and families to help children recognize and prevent violence and abuse. Those who attend the curriculum training learn how to instruct children to recognize inappropriate behavior, how to recognize appropriate behaviors of safe, trustworthy people, and how to empower children to stand up for themselves. We seek to provide specific language and foster necessary characteristics that help adults and children talk about physical and emotional safety.  

Awareness and dialogue among community stakeholders, including children themselves, help break the barrier of silence that often accompanies violence and abuse, and can be catalysts for community action responding to inappropriate and harmful behavior.
