I am a small scale farmer and also a secondary school teacher. Due to COVID, all the schools have been closed causing one of my main sources of income to stop. My house is very small and shabby, and it’s cold inside. My children have been continually suffering from pneumonia and I can do very little to help. All I want is good health for them, and I am struggling to help them with that due to my current situation. AFIM has helped by providing us emotional strength which is so important to get back on our feet. We are also in need of mattresses and blankets to assist in better health for me and my family to try to protect us from pneumonia. They are also helping me to find a job as a teacher or tutor. Their presence in our lives has been healing the scars of poverty. I hope humanity will bloom as empathetic people are still doing their bit in society.
