Help us create a beautiful Kamiza for our dojo...

I've started training in Aikido in October 2021 and it has been nothing short of life-changing to me. Aikido is more than just a martial art. In a transcribed excerpt from the writings of Morihei Ueshiba (or O Sensei) it states, "one must be able to deal with any and all situations in the Great Spirit of Loving Protection toward all things."

The Kamiza is a place of honor, and in the context of an Aikido dojo it is the place in a dojo to honor O Sensei. So far, our dojo in LA had to place a portrait of O Sensei on a little table at the top of the mat, and we have recently gotten permission of the landlord of the building our dojo is in, to build a beautiful Kamiza structure, to honor O Sensei, and to contribute to the training atmosphere that even more honors "the Great Spirit of Loving Protection toward all things."

Therefore we are looking to fundraise $4500 as a group to be able to build such a Kamiza.
