Join Us in Supporting Earthquake Relief Efforts

The strongest earthquake to hit Colombia in years shook multiple cities and significantly damaged infrastructure on the morning of August 10, 2026, in the western part of the country. Cali, located about 200km from the epicenter and where most lives were lost, was the hardest hit by the 7.4 magnitude earthquake. Thousands of buildings were destroyed, and tremors were even felt in neighboring Venezuela, where Airlink is also responding following its recent twin earthquakes.

Airlink acted fast, quickly deploying an Urban Search and Rescue team from CADENA A.C. who arrived in the first 72 hours after the earthquake, known as the “golden hour” to save lives. Amidst collapsed buildings, this specialized team is searching for survivors across Pereira, Cali, Manizales, and rural communities near San José del Palmar in Chocó. But the need for support remains dire. Airlink has extensive experience in effectively responding to earthquakes and other natural disasters. We partner with nonprofits and airlines to swiftly transport response teams and critical aid supplies to affected communities, delivering immediate relief on the ground.

Aircastle will be matching 100% of all employee contributions. Donate today to take your dollars twice as far!

How We Help

Airlink is providing essential airlift services at no cost to deploy aid supplies and expertly trained personnel to Colombia, delivering targeted support through:

  • Search and rescue and emergency medical systems
  • Disaster assessment and management team
  • Urgently needed aid supplies, including medical supplies, medicines, water filters, food, shelter supplies, and more

Our Commitment

We support communities grappling with damage to homes and livelihoods throughout every phase of the response, including the medium- to long-term recovery process, which can span days, weeks, months, and even years.

Why Your Support Is Critical Right Now

Rising fuel costs and ongoing supply chain disruptions are making it significantly more expensive to deliver life-saving aid. At a time when humanitarian needs are increasing around the world, the cost of transporting responders and critical supplies has surged. Airlink has felt this impact directly: The average cost to deploy a humanitarian passenger has more than doubled—from $90 in 2024 to over $228 in 2026. In some cases, unexpected taxes and route limitations can push the cost of a single deployment to $900–$1,800.

These rising costs directly affect how much aid we can deliver and how quickly we can respond. With your support, Airlink can continue to overcome these barriers and ensure that life-saving assistance reaches communities in crisis—when and where it’s needed most.

Your support is crucial in helping us provide the resources and assistance necessary for these communities to rebuild and recover. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by these natural disasters.
