Afghan refugees have begun arriving in Kalamazoo. Members of Congregation of Moses, Temple B'nai Israel and People's Church are working together to sponsor two families with young children. But limited government assistance will not cover all they need until they are able to work. Many generous donations of furniture and household goods have helped a great deal, but funds are now also required help to purchase what cannot be donated.
