Dear Friends and Supporters,
Here at Adullam Alabama in Gaylesville we have hearts full of hope and a vision of a brighter future fo all. Adullam Alabama's Cob Home Initiative is dedicated to providing both temporary and permanent housing solutions for the homeless, using the sustainable and affordable material known as cob. This initiative is more than just a construction project; it’s a movement towards a compassionate and environmentally conscious community.
Cob, a delightful blend of sand, clay, and straw, isn't just eco-friendly—it’s also incredibly durable and provides excellent insulation. This means our homes are not only kind to the planet but also offer a comfortable and safe haven for those in need. What's truly special about this initiative is the community-driven approach. Volunteers and future residents will work hand-in-hand in the construction process, cultivating a profound sense of ownership and togetherness. It's a beautiful way of saying, "We build together, we grow together."
By utilizing local resources, we keep costs low and significantly reduce our carbon footprint. But we can't do it alone. We need your support to bring this vision to life. Your generous donations will help us secure materials, tools, and training necessary to construct these cob homes. Together, we can create safe, comfortable, and environmentally friendly homes that empower individuals and strengthen our community. Join us in building a future where everyone has a place to call home.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Please visit www.adullamalabama.org for more information and if you are local to us, we are always in need of volunteers!
