Adopt a Trap

The Halfmoon Bay Habitat Restoration Project on Rakiura / Stewart Island aims to protect and encourage the birds already in the township area, and eventually re-introduce those species that have disappeared from the area due to mammalian predators. To make this happen, SIRCET carries out a pest control operation in a 210 hectare area from Golden Bay Road to Ackers Point.By adopting a rat trap you are helping us fund the costs involved in maintaining this network, from the comfort of your own home!

For an annual subscription of $40, you will get to choose your rat trap on the map, give it a name and have access to a personalised dashboard page showing the results from your adopted traps. This is a popular gift idea for those that have a passion for conservation and a great way to get involved in saving our endangered species.
