The iconic trees on the Tidal Basin, a beautiful but fragile wetland ecosystem, require year-round care and tending to bloom. The changing climate and rising sea-level of the Tidal Basin, coupled with damage from weather and ever-increasing foot traffic pose a growing threat to health of the trees. Happy 112! M my birthday is 1/12 hence the donation. Like so many this is one of my favorite things about the area. I lived in Dupont for 24 years and in Arlington now for 10 And I’ve seen the title basin at Peek 33 out of 34 times. The only thing that kept me away was respecting Covid regulations and I even saw one year on crutches. I am happy to support as best as I can
