Adopt a Cherry Tree

 Hello there dear friends& family,please help me adopt a beloved cherry tree, bud, blossom or limb today!! The cherry trees need your help to ensure they will bloom for generations to come..For those who know me best my birthday happens to annually coincide with the beautiful blooms 4/3/84. I enjoy their presence every year but the cherry trees on the Tidal Basin need care & tending year-round to combat the effects of advanced age, the changing climate, foot traffic of millions of visitors & daily flooding. 

Being a local to NOVA my whole life my fondness has too grown & blossomed over the years! While it is not quite my Birthday yet by adopting a cherry tree, a cherry blossom or a cherry bud, your gift will support the care of the trees year-round and help protect this grand Washington tradition. So this year being a milestone birthday the 4Oth Carrie Blossom Festival💗Any contribution would mean so much to me so let's make it special!

The iconic trees on the Tidal Basin, a beautiful but fragile wetland ecosystem, require year-round care and tending to bloom. The changing climate and rising sea-level of the Tidal Basin, coupled with damage from weather and ever-increasing foot traffic pose a growing threat to health of the trees(like my FAV Stumpy!!). The Trust for the National Mall is proud to partner with the National Park Service and friends like you to steward the trees.
