Welcome back to the New School Year!
We're excited to share about PTO and our upcoming Fundraiser, Caminata!
UPDATE: Sign submissions are due on Friday September 8. Hurry!!!
What is the Ada Vista PTO?
The Ada Vista Elementary PTO (501(c)(3) nonprofit) exists to strengthen, enrich and encourage the educational experience at Ada Vista Elementary. Its goals are to complement the school curriculum, build community, and foster relationships among students, families, teachers, and staff.
Last school year, the PTO funds were able to support teachers with funds for classroom needs, provide meals for the staff, and maintain additional educational tools for our kids.
Please help us build up our funds for THIS school year (2023-2024.) Your generosity in the past has been more than incredible; you've helped make extraordinary things happen!
Where will the money go this year?
You can't put a price tag on the fantastic Spanish Immersion experience our kids are getting. Let's support it in every way we can! This year's funds will be spent on AV students, classrooms, and teachers to make their days brighter, more meaningful, exciting, and fun!
Examples of what we support annually:
- Teachers' classroom wishlists for students' needs, art and office supplies, and more
- Teacher conference meals and Teacher Appreciation Week funds
- Activities such as field trips, in-school presentations, and really anything we can do this year to enrich their experience
-Family events such as Fiesta Latina, Caminata, and Family Picnic
-Gardening/property maintenance
-Staff professional development
- "RAZ kids" reading database, school directory membership, etc
- Additional books for our Book Vending Machine for our kids
How does the PTO raise money? (P.S. It's not a bake sale)
Caminata de Colores is on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 am
Caminata de Colores is a school-wide walk around downtown Ada (to the fire station and back). Parents are invited to join or volunteer! Kids get t-shirts (K-blue, 1-green, 2-yellow, 3-orange, 4-white) and dress crazy and colorfully! The kids create a rainbow of fun through Ada. There is music and snacks and a lot of smiles! In the end, there is a colorful surprise for the 4th graders (their t-shirts won't be white anymore!.) We do this to promote fitness, engage with our community, and raise money for our PTO! Families and friends donate what they can to support their students. These funds will support us THROUGHOUT the year.
All donations may be made with the Donorbox QR code. Choose one-time or monthly giving. We encourage you to send the code/link to family and friends!
*If every family donated $8/month or $100/school year per student, our needs would be fully met.
GOLD SPONSORSHIP (suggested amount $500): T-SHIRT LOGO (permanently printed on all shirts) AND BANNER (visible for 2 weeks surrounding the event) -- send business logo to [email protected] or [email protected], DUE SEPT 8!
