The Roots Initiative is a Chicago-based leadership development organization unapologetically building Black middle school youth into the Architects of their futures and their communities.
Every day, Black middle school youth walk into our spaces and are reminded of who they are: brilliant, capable, and worthy of leadership. Through culturally grounded leadership development, wellness practices, civic education, and real world organizing, our students are growing into the Architects of their futures and their communities.
