FAQ'S

1. What is the commitment?

We are asking 100 alumni of Glynn County Schools to commit to a quarterly gift of $100 ($100/ quarter totaling $400/year) to help fund an endowed scholarship for young men and women from our community.

2. What is the potential impact?

Fully funded, this effort would raise $40,000 per year toward providing educational opportunities for high school graduates.

3. Who would benefit from this effort?

The endowed scholarship fund will benefit local students in Glynn County Schools who are attending HBCU's and trade schools, with a commitment to return our community and give back through employment or community service.

4. How will my donation be used?

Your donation will be pooled with contributions from other alumni to create an endowed scholarship fund. The monies from this fund will be used to award scholarships to deserving students annually.

5. Can I specify how my donation is used?

While donors do not have direct control over individual scholarship awards, the Legacy 100 Alumni Scholarship Fund is donor-advised, allowing a group of local school alumni input on scholarship criteria and recipient selection.

6. What are the eligibility criteria for scholarship recipients?

Eligible students must attend Brunswick High School, Glynn Academy, or Frederica Academy. Additionally, they must demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and a commitment to returning to our community or engaging in community service.

6. How do I make a donation?

Donations can be made securely through our online donation page. Simply select your preferred donation frequency and amount, and follow the prompts to complete your contribution.

7. Can I donate in honor of someone else?

Yes, you can choose to make your donation in honor or memory of a loved one. Simply provide the necessary details during the donation process, and we will acknowledge your thoughtful gesture accordingly.
